The Cary Junior Trojans Youth Football League (CJTYFL) program was established in 1988 by Dave Wescott as the “Suburban League”.   After many years of success and tremendous growth the Suburban League joined, and help found, the Tri-County Football League (TCYFL) in 1999.   In this year (1999), the Cary Junior Trojans Youth Football League was organized. Since then, the Cary Junior Trojans Youth Football League has provided a positive, fun, safe, and challenging environment for boys and girls ages 5 to 15 to participate in Football, Cheerleading and Poms. Today, the league has over 600+ participants and continues growing every year.

Each year the CJTYFL faces the rising costs of its primary expenses; field maintenance and use, equipment maintenance, purchases of new equipment, uniforms, insurance, and storage / facilities. Even with these cost increases the CJTYFL has been able to maintain affordable participant fees as well as expand on its scholarship program for many economically challenged families. The CJTYFL never turns a child away that wants to play football, cheer, or participate in poms.

As a nonprofit organization, the CJTYFL receives no public funding. Revenues are primarily generated from two sources; participant registration fees and donations. Thus, to keep registration fees affordable as well as maintain our scholarship program, donations are essential to the survival of the CJTYFL.
